The Robens Centre for Occupational Health and Safety is a leading provider of Occupational Health Services in the South East. As an Enterprise (profit) Centre within the University with a turnover of approximately £1.2M it operates effectively as a small business within the University framework and has both an external and internal facing role.

The Robens provides a wide range of Occupational Health Services to numerous clients in the region that are specifically tailored to meet their needs. In addition, the Robens runs a very successful travel health advice facility to both business and leisure clients.

We are now seeking an Occupational Health Nurse to join our team to take on a wide range of screening and occupational health activities and support the Occupational Health Advisers who act as key account managers for our clients.

You will need broad based skills and a flexible approach to your work. The role will include pre-placement screening, fitness for work assessments, immunisations, venepuncture, drug and alcohol screening, spirometry and audiometry. Training in specific skills can be provided for the successful candidate demonstrating the personal and professional attributes required for this challenging OH environment. In addition it is proposed that the post holder will have or be willing to acquire knowledge in the area of overseas travel.

This is an exciting opportunity and time for the Robens and the successful candidate will be pivotal in its ongoing success.

You will require a full driving licence and be prepared to travel to various clients locations; in addition you will need to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
